> 24 hourWe always worried about the washing machine leaking and now with this device, I dont have to think about it anymore. I was impressed the entire kit which even included wall ties and even a 3 wall plug adapter. It took me about 10 minutes to install and now I feel secure knowing I can prevent a water disaster from my 2nd floor washing machine.

> 24 hourGood quality material, simple design and easy to install. I tested it with a small amount of water on the floor and the valves shut off within a few seconds. It may never be needed but for those of us that have spent months fixing the damage from a water leak this device gives some peace of mind.

> 24 hourI bought this less than a year ago. It goes off intermittently without any water leak and will not reset. I have no idea what triggers this thing. There is no override so my wife cannot do laundry when it thinks it has detected water. This last time it alarmed, it was 3 days before it would finally reset and we were unable to do laundry, as it closes the valves and is near impossible to get to in my situation. I contacted the company and they told me to pay to ship it back to them so they can look at the unit. Once again, it is a huge job to get to the valves in my setup so I could remove it. Then they want me to pay to ship it to them. I thought maybe they would send a new sensor or some other easy solution for the customer. But no. Id look for other options. This thing isnt worth the hassle and certainly not worth this price.

> 24 hourI bought over 4 years ago and it has saved the day about 4 times, the last one tonight which made me think to write a review. I totally forget about it usually and its been several years since it last went off, but it went off tonight. Clogged drainage and Im in an apartment building on 19th floor with woods floors.

> 24 hourThe product arrived in a very timely manner - The product box is sturdy and well organized. Very suitable if you were giving this as a gift for a housewarming or other function. When we first discussed this purchase the price was a factor but having the extra security of knowing that if the unlikely leak occurred this would alleviate many headaches with dealing with the insurance company. We had already upgraded the hoses to the stainless steel hoses when the washer was purchased new but one never knows when something else will go wrong. As far as installation everything is included in the box. Many minor options were given when installing. For exams, supplied was the template to screw the electronic unit to the wall - sheet rock anchors included but in addition anchors for cement walls and a two sided tape was included (we opted for using the two sided tape). Also were wire ties to neatly and securely run the wires where exposed. Also included was new rubber washers for the existing hoses. In short everything needed was in the box!! Installation itself a breeze. Although instructions really not needed they were supplied with exact step by step guide. I would say anyone can do this install. In regards to operation - It does exactly what it should - you can clearly hear the valve open and close and the indicator lights confirm operation. I like the vacation feature - hit the little button and valves close. In the past we would have to reach behind the machines (stackable) and fiddle with the difficult to reach valves - now just hit the button. All materials supplied seem very high quality. If wish the company would come out with a version of this for basement use on the main line coming in from the well even if it would have to be installed by a qualified plumber.

> 24 hourThe concept is great, but when the water sensor is placed on a concrete floor, it shuts the water off. Repeated test, by removing/reinstalling ac plug, same results. Do I need to seal/paint the concrete floor where the sensor goes?

> 24 hourSo we havent had any flooding yet, but i did test it on install and it seemed to be working great. It was very easy to install, and they even included in this kit the extra outlet adaptor that I would need since my laundry room only has a plug for the washer and dryer. That was a super nice touch, as I thought when I opened it, oh $%!%!@, I am going to have to go to the store now and get the adaptor before the laundry installation guy shows up in an hour. The laundry installer guy seemed to think it was a good idea, for what its worth. My laundry room is essentially an adapted closet, so this is SUPER useful in allowing me to turn off the water before going on vacation, as I would not be able to reach the taps otherwise.

> 24 hourThe reason for only 4 stars is that I have not had a water leak since installation. I did not see another with this simple functionality. If you even think about buying this you should do it. The alternative of a flood is very painful.

> 24 hourThis automatic shut off system worked....well sorta... It was attached to our washing machine supply line with the moisture detector placed on the floor directly under the connector hoses. In the middle of the night, we were awakened to a loud alert; the detector identified water. However, it was a slight leak coming from a nearby utility sink supply line that reached the sensor and not the washing machine itself. The system turned off the water to our washing machine. My husband and I quickly turned off the supply lines to the leak source at the utility sink and then spent the next 2 hours trying to reset the system so that the water supply to the washing machine could be restored as that was not the source of the leak. Frustratingly, the reset button does NOT reset the system. The instructions say that it will automatically reset when the floor sensor is dry. That has not happened either. We have tried manually drying the sensor with a towel and then with a hair dryer. The system will still NOT reset and restore water to the washing machine. Our last attempt at drying the sensor....we have it sitting in a bag of rice for the past 4 days and will try again. If this does not resolve the ability to reset the system, we will need to remove the system and search for a new product. Update. My husband ended up contacting the company. The customer representative said that to reset the product so that the valves will open the water supply lines, the system needs to be unplugged from its power source until all lights on the system go stop blinking and go out. This can take anywhere from 30-45minutes. Then once the system is reconnected to power, then valves will open. This information is NOT FOUND anywhere in the manual OR on the website!!!!! We did as verbally instructed by customer service and the system did reset. Manual NEEDS TO BE UPDATED!
