Installed very easily. I tested it for proper operation after install and everything worked perfectly. I test this thing every so often and the last time I tested it was after approximately 7 months of use. One of the two valves no longer closes. Not even during a power failure. This thing cost a lot of money for something that stops working after a few months. I should have just purchased a main line shutoff valve and integrated into a Smartthings leak detector.

Received defective unit and manufacturers customer service advised me to return, which I did. These are a good idea but no one has made a quality one yet. Other well know brand triggers error codes on newer washing machines. For another brand, folks talk about the solenoids failing and CAUSING massive, unchecked washing machine leaks/floods. Id happily pay for a good quality automatic washing machine shutoff valve, if someone ever makes one. Until then, my judgement is these things have more potential for causing a leak than for stopping one.

Package is well presented and contains all the bits you should need to install it. Installation was straightforward and on testing seemed to work fine. Just rememeber to close your valves before testing if you havent connected to machine as they will open. Star removed for app, its not great and was a pain to setup. It also keeps sending notifications when it connects to wifi. I dont care, i only want a notification if there is a leak. Its quite annoying. You dont need app to use this, will work fine without.

Installation was a quick with an easy step by step procedure- Plenty of cables to place the devices where it is convenient for care and operation Peace of mind is Knowing that the water will be turned off if a leak is detected.

UPDATE: Have been speaking with seller. Fully willing to send a replacement and update with the newer version. Great service on their part so moving to 5 stars. First review: We installed the units and initially they worked great. After a few months, the top portion, Blue valve, now is leaking slowly. All of the connections are good but it leaks from the top. After searching for a customer service number to see about an exchange, I cannot find anything and there is no way to return. Will update the rating if able to connect with seller and get resolved.

I bought over 4 years ago and it has saved the day about 4 times, the last one tonight which made me think to write a review. I totally forget about it usually and its been several years since it last went off, but it went off tonight. Clogged drainage and Im in an apartment building on 19th floor with woods floors.

The company that put this kit together spent a lot of time on the packaging, manual the control box and shut-off valves. Very well laid out and very very simple to install. The kit comes with everything you need, including a template to mount the box, tape, screws, wire ties, even an extra outlet! They really thought of everything. Not sure if you have ever installed a Floodstop but they could take a Big lesson from this company ! Floodstop just gives you some parts and a generic install manual that is for all of the products. You have to go to the hardware store to get the needed fittings. I would like to see this company make a unit for the furnace dehumidifier which notoriously leaks now and then. For the price, it is a great value! No point to a photo for it looks exactly like the one posted.

Happy with the product overall. It correct shut off water twice times over 2 years... only issue is the last time it would not reopen valves (kept sensing water even after drying senor for 48 hours). This is my second purchase, still a good value for the money it saved me.

To many false alarms, and after a year I can no longer reset to device.

This came with easy to follow instructions and sinking it to my Wi-Fi and using the app was easy.
