> 3 dayMy wife is one of those people who do not like change. Her older computer finally bit the dust and we had to buy a new one for her. It arrived just a couple of weeks ago. Her older computer had three USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, and one USB C port. Unfortunately the new one has only two USB 3.0 ports and one USB C port. She formerly used the USB 2.0 port on her older computer to attach her printer, she used two of the USB 3.0 ports for two of her external hard drives, and she used the USB C port to attach her laptop cooling pad. She left one USB 3.0 port free unless she actually needed to use it (rarely). But now with this new computer - what to do? In addition, she has a cell phone and a Bluetooth headphone. She has two chargers so she can charge both at the same time - that is, when she remembers where she left the chargers. Sometimes she takes one (or both) downstairs and then, when she needs one or both, she has to go downstairs to get them (assuming she remembers where she left them). Oh, woe! Then, a stroke of luck! Amazon Vine offered me this < Powered USB Hub 3.0, ikuai 7 Ports Aluminum USB Hub Splitter with 4 USB 3.0 Data Ports + 3 Fast Charging Ports, USB Charging Hub with 36W 12V/3A Power Adapter, Individual On/Off Switches(RSW-37) > [ https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08TMG979F ] and I immediately ordered it. It arrived last week. My wife took one look at it and she wailed! She didnt like it - she had no place for it - it wouldnt be any good for her - the necessary cables would get in her way - she wouldnt remember how or when to use the switches - and so on, and so on, and so on. I hooked everything up for her. I attached this hub to one of the USB 3.0 ports, I attached the printer to the other USB 3.0 port, and I attached the lalptop cooling pad to the USB C port. I plugged in all four of her Western Digital 2 TB external drives to this USB hub and I attached two USB 3.0 to USB Micro cables to the charging ports. Then I showed here exactly what she had to do. She could leave the two chargers downstairs permanently and just use the attached cables to charge her cell phone and headphone at the same time (if thats what she wanted to do). She could see that any or all of the drives were active because, when a switch was pressed, a blue LED glowed. And when she is charging her cell phone and/or her headphone, she need only press the switch and a red LED will glow. I apologize for this long story but I have to tell you that, after using this hub for several days, she now says that she wouldnt be without it! She says that using it couldnt be easier and she absolutely loves it! Both its design quality and its construction quality are positively superb. And while she has not yet activated all four of her drives at the same time, I have no reason to believe that they will not all function perfectly all together. So far she has used two of the drives while charging her cell phone (only) and everything worked perfectly (as I would expect). At only $27.99 (current price here on Amazon), I believe that you just cant go wrong with this powered USB hub. And especially in view of my wifes quick turnaround of her opinion of it, I give this Ikuai hub my ABSOLUTELY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION. Thank you for reading all of this. Lawrence H. Bulk

> 3 dayHad an issue with one of the toggle buttons from out the box. Decided to just leave the button engaged, but now after 30 plus days, its stuck in the off position and will not lock. Dont feel like taping it down, but will most likely have too.

> 3 dayNo hub is perfect in my experience. This has had a couple of hiccups, but overall I am very happy. Works flawlessly with an external high end audio amplifier with a D/A converter. Really like the on/off buttons and the charge port.

> 3 dayMy experiences with USB 3.0 hubs were bad. I have tried almost every reasonably priced unit from $12 to $50 since 2009. Their life span stretched from 1 month to +1.5 years. The two best were the Plugable 7-Port Aluminum with its 1.5 year average - it was no longer sold since 2018. My Atolla 10-Port has just gone beyond 1.5 years. However, it suffered two glitches in 2020. The ports would not function for 1-2 days, and they came back. Until it was completely non-functional, the warranty could not be executed. . Here are the good and bad on this product. . . ADVANTAGES . 1. PRICE: Twice in August, 2020, it sold for $11 after a $15 coupon special. . 2. CONSTRUCTION: The unit was very light and compact, made of hard plastic. Unfortunately, the USB cable was a bit short by 6. . 3. QUALITY: On 09/01/2020, it was the highest rated USB 3.0 hub among 130 users. It had 81% 5-Stars and a 94% when the score was combined with the 13% 4-Star stat. . . DISADVANTAGES . 1. PERFORMANCE: The speed was acceptable with a range of 53-65 mb/s. The consistent rate was 63 mb/s. On a two second burst, it shot up to 68 mb/s. So compared to my Atolla, it was 30% slower. The latter cruised at 90 mb/s. . 2. WARRANTY: It is 12 months, while the Atolla has 18 months. . . For speed and an additional six month warranty, nothing can surpass the Atolla. On the other hand, the ikuai sold for 30% of its competitors price on two occasions. For me, I can not say NO to a deal like that.
