This unit has NO POWER BACKFEED PROTECTION. Under a test I was able to source full current out the input connector using a 10 ohm test load. Also the supplied AC adapter was not able to supply its rated current, under a 1/2A load it dropped down to 4.78V, a far cry from the rated 5V/3A. This is a design flaw in the hub, do not use this with the AC adapter.

Needed a small and inexpensive 12V hub to attach to one of my telescopes and this fit the bill. Ended up ordering another one for a second scope.

Overall, this is a great powered USB hub and is exactly what I needed. I thought it would be bigger, but its actually a pretty small design, which makes it even better. The build quality is amazing. It feels very sturdy when you touch it. I even accidentally dropped it when I first unboxed it, and it didnt get any dents or scratches. There are switches for each USB port, so you can decide which one is on or off. The light next to the hub is not only a light to tell you if the port is on or not, but its also an activity light that tells you when the port is in use. That was an amazing addition to the product, and I absolutely love it. Overall, this is a great little USB hub that is worth the money.

Happy with this little guy. If you dont need many ports, this will do I got it for my laptop and works great, I even have a dedicated port to charge my phone.

This worked out great, the powered port has worked with everything I have tried it with. Size is convenient, build quality is good.

Makes all my external files equally accessible with the ones in my laptop.

It works but sometimes the usb connection fails, my keyboard goes dead, then I have to unplug and reconnect.
