Excellent solid state drive, have no complaints so far. By installing windows 10 onto the ssd, boot up takes ~ 10 seconds which is amazing. Really encourage people to install solid state drive into their computers as my old hard drives seem to wear out after a while, but this ssd is still staying strong and keeping my operating system running smoothly. Any folders/files put into the ssd will open up/transfer in a flash. Awesome buy.

I enjoyed this SSD for my first SSD. The cd software (downloadable for laptops with no cd drive) made it incredibly easy to transfer data from an existing hard drive to the new SSD. It also comes with a Samsung Wizard which allows you to monitor and select how you want your SSD to run (fastest, most space, most reliable). All I needed was a usb 3.0 to 2.5inch SATA adapter in order to connect the new SSD and old HDD. Though it is only slightly faster for my newer computer, but my sisters older laptops boot up times and opening application times are incredibly noticeable.

Based on what I can tell this is great! After installation it seems quiet and a whole lot quicker to get around the computer, especially booting up.

Price for performance met....You get what you pay for and this a good thing here.

Used this in a new build with an i5 4690K, Crucial Balliztix Sport 2x8GB and Asus Z97-AR Motherboard. Boot times are pretty ridiculous at about 15 seconds from a cold boot all the way into fully loaded Windows 7 (including post tests and whatnot). I used the Samsung Magician software that came along with it since it takes care of all the Windows settings for that you really should set with an SSD. I got the 250 GB, but the 500 GB is only $65 more so hindsight yet again makes me look like a fool. Oh well, I still love the drive.

The directions and software provided made it easy to merge data from my old HD onto this SSD. I merged a Windows 10 startup disk onto this disk and when complete it booted up perfectly. I am happy with the results of this purchase.

Software from Samsung did not clone the drive for me. I finally used Easeustodo to clone. Even that software did not make a bootable clone. Finally got it to boot by using a rescue disk to repair the booting problem. I am satisfied with the disk now that it is working but the transition from hdd to this ssd is not straight forward.

Oh my gosh why didnt I buy this and upgrade to SATA3 sooner?! I hit 500MB/sec on the benchmark now and my computer boots a non-efi Windows 8.1 in less than 10 seconds. I can load photoshop CS6 in LESS THAN 5 SECONDS! Amazing! The only negative thing I have to say about this purchase is that I bought it for $125 and it dropped to $99 about a day after I received it. Oh well, STILL WORTH IT. If you only have SATA2 it is not worth the upgrade over a Crucial though.
