SAMSUNG 850 EVO 250GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E250B/AM)

This is really a really great drive, super-light weight, and fully functional. Also very important here is the UI. The Samsung software shows you lots of good information including TB written and overall drive health. Software from Intel and Crucial is very inferior in this case.

16 hours later...Samsung migration software basically fried my OS and data. When I replaced the HDD to retry the process, wow, things were not well in laptop land. So choppy, constant crashes, recovery mode not recognizing recovery DVD, blue screens. Then I went on Amazon and read the reviews, plus searched the web, below are the results of my findings and how to escape Samsung SSD migration hell in Windows 7. (1) To reduce HDD size for SSD (eliminate unused memory in partitions)>Control Panel>administrative tools>computer management>disk management>right click disk partitions & select shrink volume (2) To clone>download Macrium Reflect Free & clone using a usb to sata cable with your SSD attached. So easy, why cant Samsung get it right??? (3) Install and enjoy your blazing fast computer. I have a holiday special I3 that now boots to desktop in 17 sec, and lets me run like 10 excel, 10 word, 20 PDF, 40 chrome browser windows at once and switch between them with NO LAG whatsoever. Also, my fan barely revs when streaming 1080 HD, before it was very loud. I hope this review is helpful and saves you 16 hours of your life, have a good one!!

upgrades my computer

good , works fine, need some basic instruction something short and large enough to be able to read (millions of Americans use reading glasses)

I got this for my first build and really like it. It was easy to install and I go from powered off to desktop in about ten seconds or so (of course, thats new components, fresh OS, etc.).

Very easy to install. Unbelievable how fast my Macbook pro is running now. Wish I had installed this years ago.

Fantastic product. Install was flawless and its working perfectly. My computer now operates at warp speed and the battery life is substantially improved. My computer used to need 2-3 minutes to boot and now its ready to roll in about 30 seconds. The Samsung software is nice and easy to use. This is one of the best Amazon purchases Ive made in the last year. Do a little research as you need an adapter that lets you use a USB drive to connect to the hard drive during file transfer (I had an adapter already, but most people probably dont).

So much faster than previous laptop HDD. Operations very snappy, large file transfers/copies much, much quicker.
