> 3 dayMy MacBook Pro had the slow 750GB 5400 RPM hard drive. I bought an external hard drive to do a Time Machine backup of my MacBook Pro. The Samsung was easy to install. Be sure to initialize it as Apple Extended Journal (takes a few seconds) before trying to restore the Time Machine backup. Once the backup was restored the MacBook Pro booted straight away. It now takes about 20 seconds rather than 1-2 minutes to boot up.
