I purchased this as an upgrade to the HDD on my PC and couldnt be happier. Transferring data from my HDD was a breeze with the Samsung Magician software and it makes a huge difference in data read/write vs the HDD. If youre looking for an SSD and can find this on sale I highly recommend buying it!

Have installed a couple of these on various laptops and performance is great, install is easy with Samsung’s software to clone your existing drive, and so far no reliability issues.

Fast. Easy installation. An excellent upgrade. I put this in to a mac mini with a standard internal hard disk, makes a world of difference. Absolutely no issues, install it, move your OS and data over, youre done.

Fit perfectly into my mid 2012 MacBook Pro, and now it boots up in about 5 seconds as opposed to almost a minute when it had its factory HDD. Definitely recommend this item to anyone looking for a great SSD.

I wanted an SDD to clone my HDD drive and set as my new boot drive for faster start-up. When I purchased this the price had dropped from $109 to $77 for a 500GB SSD, so I already like the price point. I would have paid a little extra if they would have included a SATA cable, but thats why I bought it on Amazon so that I could bundle the cable I needed with it (cost like 5 bucks). Once I got it in the mail I immediately opened it up and connected it to my system. You may have to initialize the drive so that Windows can see it and the small guide (literally the only other thing in the box) doesnt tell you about that. It does give you a link to Samsung Magician that once installed will see the SDD but it will not help you set it up in Windows. Once you do initialize it, Samsung Magician does help optimize the drive on your system. If you purchased this SDD to clone your current HDD then I would recommend downloading Data Migration from the Samsung website. Once I installed it on my system I purchased another one to install on my nephews.

Was a fantastic value and fit my needs I play games online and needed faster and more capacity when the size of games has increased this solved that problem and I notice it is 10X faster then a HDD Highly recommend SSD moving forward for all the desk top gaming. I have had it installed for over 4 Months and no issues!

Bought a nice new laptop but it was very slow due to the cheap 5400 RPM hard drive it came with! I replaced it with this Samsung SSD and the laptop really screams now! It’s a night and day difference!
