Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

This is a great 500GB size SSD. It is fast. Computer performs smooth and fast. The computer case I bought has two of these slide in slots for SSD drives. They are located on the back of the case and I simple slid the SSD down into the slot and put two screws in it. Anyways, it is a good SSD.

I was looking to improve the load times of my games for my PS4 Playstation Pro and boy was I surprised at the difference in speed. The load times are so much faster (probably by about 10-12 sec) when loading my Assassins Creed game saves and also when scrolling through the main character attributes. This SSD was a Godsend!! The old OEM Toshiba HDD that my PS4 came with is nowhere near the speeds of this thing. It has taken out the frustration of waiting tireless for things to load. I will be testing its capabilities on a larger game such as Red Dead Redemption II next. Im already anticipating that the results will be the same- Spectacularly quick!! Get this if you are thinking of upgrading the OEM HDD to an SSD. You can probably get a better deal on Black Friday but why wait to save $20 or so. Do it now!!

Easiest way to add new life to an older computer. I replaced the old mechanical hard drive with this solid state hard drive. Computer response time increased dramatically. It increased enough for me to upgrade the operating system from Windows 7 to Windows 10. It was much cheaper to replace the hard drive then buying a new computer.

My 2011 old MacBook Pro was actually so slow. It would take seconds if not minutes between key clicks or commands. The diags didnt report any error. The read/write tests said only about 14MB/sec I wasnt sure if it was the new High Sierra, my old MBP, or just a failing drive since it started to happen soon after I upgraded the OS. I decided to try this before buying a new MBP. OMG! My MBP is now faster and dead silent then even brand new. The read/write tests approach around 750MB/sec if I remember correctly. Filevault did its thing very fast where my old drive didnt complete after a week.

I am not looking for great performance

I upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10. I had someone else install the new drive and windows 10 so I cannot comment on its gaming or installation, but I did notice how much faster the new one was. I have no complaints.

Bought to have a few larger games on it for faster loading times and it does an amazing job at that.

This was just what I was looking for. Great product. I updated my HDD to an SSD and this Samsung 860 EVO was the perfect fit. My old laptop feels brand new. It was super easy to transfer my HDD to the new SSD using the Samsung Migration software and a SATA to USB transfer cable. I love my old laptop again.

installed last week , cant so for sure regarding the durability though . regarding performance, my previous boot times (Windows Server 2012 R2) on the stock hdd were between 9.5 - 11 minutes . after installing this , the system is ready for anything and everything in under 2 minutes , and that is ABSOLUTELY ASTONISHING
