Samsung drives are a bit more expensive than others. Why? Because they call out a DRAM cache on the spec sheet. This is essential for keeping the FAT, NTFS, or ext* file table in RAM memory instead of flash. It makes disk access much faster.

I got this for my PC and I absolutely love it. Its great for a fast boot and what I love it for in particular is gaming. It makes the load times really short.

Fast. Easy to transfer your data using the Samsung transfer software. I went from a 1T HDD to this 500G SSD and the software will let you choose what to transfer for so it will fit on the new SSD. For me I just left out my photo library and it worked great. Transferred everything else with no problem.

Easy switch, big improvement in performance. Use Macron Reflect 7 if youre going to clone a hard drive.

It is a good product

Works great so far. Easy to install. The only trouble I had was when cloning my drive with the wizard my HD I was cloning needed a chkdsk run. Once ran though it worked without any issue. Boot up speed definitely improved.

Does exactly what it says - a fast SSD with no issues. I bought two - an 860 and an 870 for different purposes. Well worth the money. No issues!

The Samsung SSD drive is sooo much faster than my old disk drive. Its really to install so long as you download the migration software from Samsungs website.

Very easy to install! Looked up the manual for my PC on how to add a 2.5 drive, installed it, and set it up really quickly. A YouTube tutorial can help you if this is your first time setting up a new hard drive.

The 1TB spin HDD died in my after 5+ years. I bought this SSD to replace it. My iMac never felt this fast after installing this SSD. Waking from sleep was instantaneous, switching users has been pretty fast and the overall system performance improved big time. It is worth spending $150 for this SSD. I love it.
