We got this for our Christmas tree so that we could automate turning on and off the lights. It was easy to do and I love it! Definitely gonna buy more plugs for around the house. I love that I can tell Siri to turn on or off the lights. We don’t use an Alexa or Google home

First off, these plugs are integrated into our HomeKit system and they work well. However, they were difficult to attach to our network. We have a Linksys Velop tri-band mesh system. In order for these plugs to be initialized and connected to our Wi-Fi, we had to make sure we were at the farthest reach of one of our stations to ensure we were likely on the 2.4 ghz band. In our case, the garage was the perfect place to get these plugs on the network. It took between 1 and 3 tries - moving around a bit each time - for the operation to be successful. One surprise was that the app you download does not handle the connection to HomeKit. Once the serial number was scanned and we connected to the plug’s Wi-Fi, the HomeKit app opened and handled the rest of the connection process.

The initial setup was fairly simple although someone without a hub or any technical knowledge may find it difficult to set up the timer function without investing some research time. Once set up, the product worked reliably until I needed to adjust the timer. Then I tried connecting back to the device and nothing worked. I have spent a good amount of time trying to reconnect by resetting everything associated with the device which include the device itself, the manufacturers app, and HomeKit. I tried this multiple times and no luck. This renders the device effectively useless.I have contacted the support team and am currently awaiting a reply although I might soon call it a loss and invest in a more reliable all-inclusive system. Hooked up to Apple Home immediately. Works flawlessly via Siri voice prompts, iPhone Home app, and iWatch too. We’ll see what happens in the long run as far as stability goes. Some negative comments regarding firmware and privacy expressed by some reviewers. Did not need to use the Refoss app to install. Install from within the Home app.

I bought the double pack. Downloaded the free app for my iPhone, opened Apples Home App, and added each outlet switch in under a minute. The entire setup was a breeze. Then I programmed automation in Apples home kid in under a minute. So easy! Flawless! They look nice too, and are as small as they could possibly be. Highly recommend those!

If there is a timer function on the Home app, I couldn’t figure it out. However, the smart plug does work with voice command, via, telling Siri to turn it on or by manually turning it on/off by the Home app.

These were pretty easy to set up. I got them because they are compatible with Apple home and you don’t need a hub… although you do need an iPad… so it pretty much does need some kind of “hub”. Anyways… I think they’re awesome. I got them for our nightstand lamps and I couldn’t be happier with them. I am about to buy two more!

I’ve had these for about 2 months now, and they work great. I have only had one issue, and that was when the HomeKit app was not connecting to the switch, so I had to reinstall them on both the Meross app AND HomeKit. I’m order to install it on the Meross app, you HAVE to install it in HomeKit first. But I have to give this company credit on reaction time. As SOON as your finger touches the on / off switch, it IMMEDIATELY reacts! Bravo!

This Smart outlet plug works greats. Just what I needed for 2 lamp lights. Before purchasing these I had all my down stairs light switch connected to Alexa so that I could tell Alexa to turn all lights off. There were 2 light lamps that were not on a switch but plugged into an outlet on the wall. After installing these with the light lamps, I can now easily turn on and off all lights at the same time with a voice command to Alexa or via a scheduled time before bed. I had only one issue and it was at setup. The eHomeLife app uses the same credentials as the Meross account (which I already had for my Smart Garage Door). I didnt realize this and I almost created another account. I tried to use the Meross app that I use for my Garage Door but the app could not find the device during setup. Its okay though because the eHomeLife app works to control my Garage Door. Pros: -Great Range -works perfectly with Alexa Cons: -A little blunky -Setup didnt go perfectly the first time through

I bought the product for one thing: HomeKit automation. But the plugs simply don’t work with HomeKit. Interestingly, I have left them plugged in and manually turn them on and off and a couple months ago they started working with HomeKit out of the blue and then stopped again three days later never to work again. Find another product.
