I had bought it to turn on lights remotely. The plugs are only Smart within the Wifi area. Not remotely accessible. Waste of money for me.

Purchased this item twice we loved it so much! Did not have to download a separate app - it just scans to the Apple Home App directly. Very reliable, only a rare occurrence does it need a split second to connect. Replaced old clicker version and couldnt be happier. Highly recommend.

Easy to install. Love that I can prep my coffee the night before and use my phone to start it to brewing. Better than buying a programmable coffee maker because one touch on my phone and I can get the coffee started whenever I wake up, without making a trip to the kitchen. Also perfect for the corner lamp that is hard to reach.

Struggled to keep connected, side button to turn on and off great for Christmas lights

Added them recently for Christmas decor lights and loved the ease of install/setup. Was able to create a “Christmas Scene” in Home and schedule it with automation. Will likely buy more.

The product works, but it’s kinda annoying how it works. You have to download the app for it, and it had me download Apple home. It works with Siri which is great. The really annoying part is you have to be on the same Wi-Fi as the plug. So you can’t be out and need to turn it off. You have to be near the plug to work the app. Also the timer function is odd. You have to set a schedule with how long and what days. It’s not an easy here turn on and run 5 mins. But it does work, once timer schedule set up it works.

I’ve reviewed Meross and Refoss products before. Their smart home products are fantastic and simply work. Love their new switch style! The company is now adding HomeKit to their smart devices. This adds a new level of compatibility and flexibility for the home user. This review isn’t about HomeKit vs Alexa vs Smart Things. I only use Alexa right now But with an Apple network and ecosystem, installation was easy but the set up is different. I checked with Meross/Refoss and this part is true. If the smart device is HomeKit enabled and you have the HomeKit app installed on your phone/tablet, YOU WILL be setting up the smart device first through HomeKit. You cannot set up the device through Alexa until set up with HomeKit has taken place. Other than that weird setup requirement, the plug installation and use of the plug is simple and as one would hope. I continue to use the Meross app to control the devices as it is simpler for quick device manipulation than the Alexa app. If you are concerned about the quality and reliability of this product, you can be at ease. I exclusively use Meross/Refoss. The setup is simple and easy, the products respond quickly and reliably, and the customer care (when rarely needed) is always genuine and happy to help. This Smart outlet plug works greats. Just what I needed for 2 lamp lights. Before purchasing these I had all my down stairs light switch connected to Alexa so that I could tell Alexa to turn all lights off. There were 2 light lamps that were not on a switch but plugged into an outlet on the wall. After installing these with the light lamps, I can now easily turn on and off all lights at the same time with a voice command to Alexa or via a scheduled time before bed. I had only one issue and it was at setup. The eHomeLife app uses the same credentials as the Meross account (which I already had for my Smart Garage Door). I didnt realize this and I almost created another account. I tried to use the Meross app that I use for my Garage Door but the app could not find the device during setup. Its okay though because the eHomeLife app works to control my Garage Door. Pros: -Great Range -works perfectly with Alexa Cons: -A little blunky -Setup didnt go perfectly the first time through

I have several brands of wifi /app based plugs and for comparison they fit easily UK into the outlets, stacking in the wall outlets without crowding each other. The app is simple as can be and matching the outlets with the app took less then a minute, with setting the times/ schedule for on/off easy and intuitive. My Echo app hooked up to them in the same easy manner as pairing them with the app. Very happy with the purchase!

I bought this 2-pack because I had previously bought an Amazon brand one which was very easy to install but wanted to save a little money. I actually had no issue setting up the app on my android phone and being able to work it. The reason for the lower star review was I tried to install the 2nd of the two pack and between downloading the app and it forcefully changing setting on the phone e it didnt work. I am a pretty competent person with electronics and after 45 minutes simply gave up trying to set it up using the iPhone. Some of the forced setting for this app confused me on the iPhone and I have to believe it was the app through the app meaning Alexa App through Ehomelife app. I had a spare Amazon plug and swapped out the plugs to finish my setup. The product works great if you can get past the installation on your phone.
