> 3 dayI purchased a couple of iHome smart outlets last year and they have been working great. I even move them around to different rooms/lamps, etc. and just rename them and they have no problem. These Vocolinc plugs are much cheaper and seem to be made to work with Apple Homekit well. Setup is easy for Homekit. You just plug them in and open the wifi on your settings and youll see a message in a few moments for the new plug to join the network and add to Homekit. When you respond yes youll get a prompt to scan the QR code from the box or the plug. Do that and it shows up in your home a few seconds later. Voila, youre done. Now you can set lamps to automatically turn on or off by schedule or as part of a scene. This product is a great addition so far!

Greater than one weekI have a router that broadcasts in both 2.4 and 5Ghz. The outlets (I have 2) are constantly losing their minds, which it turn makes my lose mine. Setting up seems easy and connecting to HomeKit is seamless. The trouble is, it won’t remain connected for long. I’ve lost count on how many times I’ve had to reset them and reconnect. I’m done with them. Time to look for something reliable.

> 3 dayAll right I’ve been dying to have a smart home. I wasn’t quite sure where to begin even though I live in the heart of Silicon Valley. I saw these accidentally when I was looking up lightbulbs that work with your smart phone and change color. I decided to give them a go because my husband falls asleep every single night with the TV on. Its absolutely blaring and it wakes me up at about three in the morning and I can’t locate the remote. So here’s my husband snoring without a care in the world and I’m scrambling around in our king size bed and can never find remote to turn the TV off. Now all I have to say is “Hey Siri turn of tv” and go back to bed. My husband was sooooooo shocked and impressed when I was setting it up. Works amazing. Just bought 2 more for the space heater and my daughter chandelier! It’s super easy to go in the app and name the item in different rooms that you want to be able to voice command. You can also share your login on the app with different family members so that they can use their siri voice command as well. This is super simple for anybody who feels they are not high tech and it works through the app that you download in your Apple phone and it’s super simple. These make you look like a high tech genius. Super excited I got them.

> 3 dayThese work great with homekit. For the person below who complained about difficulty scanning the QR code once plugged into an outlet, then dont plug before scanning (instructions below). Also, on my 2.4 and 5gz router outlet even worked perfectly in joining the 2.4 network and not the 5.8, i didnt have to turn off the 5.8 at all. Setup Vocolinc Smart Plug with Apple Homekit 1. Open Apple Home app, select + and the select Add Accessory. 2. Scan QR code on side of Vocolinc smart outlet. Home will prompt to setup, DO NOT do this yet. 3. Plug into outlet. Wait 30 seconds for it to power up 4. Go back to the Home app and complete outlet setup 5. Open Vocolinc app and update the smart outlet firmware as Apple Home doesnt do this immediately.

> 3 dayGot this to save having to buy three separate smart plugs, and it does the job in that sense pretty much perfectly. There are some annoying issues though: - A few other reviewers have noted this, but the LEDs really are very bright. I stuck some electrical tape over them to help dull them a bit but if you have all three on in a bedroom for example that could get quite distracting. - There is no way to physically turn on or off each plug, its all digital. If you need to be able to do that this is not the plug for you.

> 3 dayWorks great with iPhone and Homepod. I am able to schedule the time in the home app for automation which I found to be the most useful. I gave 4 star because sometimes the response from HomePod is slow. Other than that, its a great smart plug for Siri.

> 3 dayIm using this in an Apple HomeKit setup. I was really glad to see that you could set it up directly in HomeKit, and the setup was perfectly seamless. So many products require you to download the manufacturers app these days, which inevitably tries to gather your email, personal information, etc etc... its refreshing to have something that just works as hardware like its supposed to. The responsiveness through HomeKit is excellent as well. No delays when turning lights on through the app.

> 3 dayI was attracted to this four piece set for budget and compatibility with my HomeKit since I am just now building it. The ease and set up of each of these plugs, and the ability to name them was really ok. Several attempts at pairing may be required so patients when installing and follow app prompts. Once installed they are great! I do enjoy them and will buy an additional set to add to the rest of my electrical devices. Highly recommend for the price and the quality.

> 3 dayIm not sure if theres been a change since some of the earlier reviews that said setup is tough, or if its just that Apple is easier to connect, but these were incredibly easy to setup for HomeKit. Instructions say that for Alexa and Google you have to download the Vocolink app, but with HomeKit I just went into the HomeKit app on my iPhone, selected the plus sign to add a device and scanned the QR code for each plug. Then I named and selected a room for them, and they were up and going. The QR code for each outlet is in three different places (on the outlet, on the inside of the box, and on stickers on the back of the instructions) so its easy to get it done. As youd expect, there is a slight delay in connecting when you unplug/plug them in somewhere else, but it reconnected in a few seconds without having to setup again. Highly recommend from what Ive seen. I do love that you can plug something else into the same outlet with these in.

Greater than one weekIt was somewhat difficult to get the app to recognize the switch. In at least a couple of instances I had to factory reset the switch several times. After successful pairing and firmware update they all work fine. I M still trying to integrate them into Google Home. That process is not well documented.
