> 3 dayIt was so easy and quick to set up the VOCOlink SmartBar switch device using my iPhone and their LinkWise app. Great value for the price! Be sure your phone or tablet is connected to your 2.4GHz network first before connecting this switch to your WIFI network. You can switch your phone/tablet back to your 5GHz network when you are done. You need to use the LinkWise app to initially connect the switch, and their app must be given permission to the Apple Home app . You should also update the firmware for the switch, using the LinkWise app, right after you first connect it to your WiFi network. The LinkWise app automatically adds the devices to the Apple “Home” app. I now use the Apple Home app to control all my WiFi switch devices, including the VOCOlink switches. I liked this switch so much, I ordered two more.

> 3 dayAs one of the reviews that I’ve read stated, I was about pulling my hair out getting these to connect. I don’t think it should take that long and requires so many attempts.

> 3 dayBought it to replace the older generation smart plug which went bad due to difference in Amp. This one works like a charm the only issue is, it takes a bit time to figure out; if in case you want to automate or schedule it.

11-04-2025First off, I do not write reviews. This one made me do it out of pure frustration. For the Google and Alexa users, maybe your experience will be better. Apple HomeKit users, please read and find an alternative like I’m looking for currently. I feel like I need to visit a psychologist after dealing with these. I felt rage I had never felt before. It wasn’t a human emotion. I fully expect to wake up and have flashbacks. These SmArT pLuGs will make you want to summon Thor’s hammer and thunder pound these into dust. I’d rather Chuck Norris karate chop me in the throat before I’d set up four more of these things. All that being said, if you are the CHOSEN ONE and manage to get these connected to Apple HomeKit, they work great. Which they should for the hell you go through. Once your done, have a drink(s) or go out to a nice dinner. You deserve it.

> 3 dayThese smart outlets are amazing and incredible for the price. Great addition to your Homekit accessories. Incredibly impressed with how simple the setup was in the Home app. Incredible packaging presentation and the build quality is solid. I would highly recommend this to anyone since it works on all platforms. - It was ready to use in less than 2 minutes. - Connectivity is solid - It works incredibly fast (clicks on and off) FYI - You will need the Vocolinc app to update to the latest firmware. The only snag I ran into was a message that said my “Router was not compatible” but that was since I was connected to a 5GHz network and it couldn’t find the device. The fix was to switch to the 2.4GHz network and the rest was a breeze. I do enjoy it is smaller form factor and find its compact than most other devices which it competes with, it only takes over one outlet as pictured.

Greater than one weekWell I have pretty much everything in my apartment automated , Wi-Fi or blue tooth and I purchased two new fountains and of course I wanted Siri to be able to control them as well . So my first choice was the product that is similar to the fish . I had 2 1/2 to 3 months of failure and disappointment with that product . So I purchased these and connection was easy ( I have the Apple home ) and the plugs have worked flawlessly . Based on my experience I would recommend .

> 3 dayI have a bunch of Alexa smart plugs, but finding a Homekit plug that works as well as the Alexa ones has been a challenge. Thankfully, this VOCOlinc one has come along to save the day! Its very simple to setup and works perfectly. Its super fast and responsive when triggered by voice or directly with my iPhone/iPad home app. If you need a homekit plug, this is your best option.

> 3 dayThese plugs work great with Alexa and are easy to set up. On the other hand, these things work horribly with HomeKit, they are a pain in the #ss to set up because you have to scan a code on the bottom of them, while it’s plugged in! Then once they were finally set up, they all stopped working with HomeKit after 3 days!!! I do not recommend this product for HomeKit users, but I do sort of recommend it for Alexa users.

> 3 dayGot this for the inside Christmas tree lights. Went with VOCO because I already had 2 LED bulbs. Works well and setup was easy once I got an iOS device to talk on the 2.4 GHz Wifi. NOTE. I have one Wifi name for both 2.4 and 5.0 and my iPhone 11 Pro would not make the distinction. Had to pull out an iPad Air 2 which was able to communicate over the 2.4 and get this configured. Otherwise I would have had to reconfigure the network names so that my device could access it. Google this if you do not understand. Going forward I will be looking to get Thread based not Wifi based smart home devices. But this was a decent price for what I needed it to do.
