Its been almost six months since our Qidi X-Plus arrived at our pandemic-shuttered home. On the printers long and bumpy journey from China to Philadelphia, one of the two z-axis rods (vertical threaded screws that raise and lower the build platform) had been knocked loose from its upper socket and was disturbingly bent. My teenage son and I were desperate to play with the thing, so we took photos of the damage and set to work dismantling the printer to try and move things into place. An hour or two later, we managed to reseat the rod into its socket. In the process we had many occasions to admire the build quality of this printer. It is elegantly engineered and assembled like a tank, with multiple layers of thick panels and support structures that fit snugly with redundant points of attachment (i.e., a generous number of top-quality screws to make everything super solid). The mass and solidity of the X-Plus reduce vibrations when the printhead is skittering around, resulting in very precise prints even at high speeds. The z-axis rod no longer seemed bent after we reseated it, and after reassembling the entire beast and turning it on, all seemed to be in working order. Nevertheless, after I emailed Qidis support staff about the dislocated part, they express-shipped me a complete replacement z-axis assembly (rod and drive motor) just in case we run into problems down the road. Yup, even though Qidis support staff are all the way over there in China, they have been stunningly responsive and helpful on multiple occasions. Since those early days of 3D printing at home, weve embarked on dozens of crazy projects and the X-Plus has never let us down. Sure, weve had some disappointments while learning how to adjust the critical settings -- getting the right temperatures for the extruder and the build platform for different brands of filament, learning how far we can push the printhead speed before quality declines, what infill patterns are best (gyroid!), etc. The only downside is that weve had trouble getting WiFi printing to work reliably, but over time Ive realized that WiFi printing with a 3D printer is kind of pointless since we like to prepare the removable build platform for every print job, rinsing it and applying a fresh layer from a glue stick. But the bottom line is that this printer is a workhorse from a company that stands behind it. You will not be disappointed.

Printer prints great right out the box. I’ve had this for about 3 months now and have tried all kinds of filaments from pla to pc and even the trickier ones like tpu and nylon filaments and this thing can do it all. Customer support is second to none. Had a minor problem and they responded within the hour and had a new part shipped out the next day. I highly recommend.

This is my first 3D printer. After researching several different printers. I went with qidi because it’s pre assembled, large build plate, (2) extruder and enclosed. The print quality is good out of the box. Once the machine is calibrated prints are better. The qidi community is huge and its a great place to go for help and tips. Being new to 3D printing it is also very important to find a company that supports their printers. Qidi’s customer service is excellent. I had a couple of issues on separate occasions. Getting it resolved was painless. I emailed them pictures of the problem, they replied fast and shipped replacement parts.

I really like this machine. And for beginner like me its easy to use And not much of a learning curve so its perfect for beginners. And the Tech Support is top shelf. Anytime I have a problem at the beginning they were there for me with him just a couple of hours after sending them an email and they didnt stop until They walked me through the process and got me going again.

Qidi may not be the most well known brand when choosing 3D printers but I got one last year and have loved it. The prints very rarely fail, with the application itself being very easy to use. Customer support is amazing too. I did not realize that if I bought carbon fiber PLA, it would clog certain nozzles. Not to fear though, Qidi customer support replied instantly to my inquiry and with my warranty, they sent me a new nozzle within a few days. They also sent me a training video how to fix it if someone does not have too much repair experience on 3D printers. Would not ever trade my Qidi X-Plus printer for another!

This is a great printer for the price and for multi purpose prints. With the two different extrudes you can print a wide range of materials. I use mine for personal and business use and have been able to fabricate several brackets etc and using the poly carbonate with carbon fiber filiment you can print very light weight objects with incredible strength. I highly recommend anyone contemplating buying a 3D printer to go with this one. I had a couple of minor issues and customer service was on point and took care of my issues in record time. They now have a dual extruder printer that I have my eye on and will likely obtain one in the near future. You can’t go wrong with this printer!
