> 3 dayI had some major issues getting this to work with my motherboard with other drives in RAID 0. Do a little research before buying.

Greater than one weekYou really cant go wrong with a Samsung SSD. This drive works great and will bring any computer to life if swapping out for a standard SATA drive. The Samsung Pro is better, but also more money. This is a great drive for a standard computer.

08-04-2025Super SSD! Id tried another product that didnt back up my HD, but this backup and daily use are forgettable; a great compliment when compared to other products that take too much effort to work. My Win 7 boot time went from 65 secs w a Hitachi OEM HD to 29 seconds with the Samsung SSD.

02-04-2025This SSD is great!! I got one a year ago for my PC at home and it runs like a champ! It was an older PC as well from 2009. My Macbook is a late 2011 model and it was running really slow with my old HDD. I replaced it wit this SSD and it really has breathed new life into my Macbook! Highly recommended!

Greater than one weekInstalled this with my Alienware Alpha i3 and I swear the load up times is so fast its amazing. I wasnt sure if this would be worth it, but it really is. Everything loads up so much faster, especially the restarting of the computer or just turning it back on. Mind you, Im no technically wizard, and managed to put this in on my own, along with a new set of RAM.

> 3 dayI installed this in my Mac Mini (2012 vintage) a few months ago, and it seems to work just fine. Its noticeably faster than the old spinning magnetic disc.

> 3 dayAs of Winter 2015, The Samsung 850 Evo is probably the best performer for the enthusiast as well as average user. I have now experienced this drive in both 250 and 500 GB versions, across three platforms. The first is a Macbook pro mid-2012 and the improvement in speed, useability and battery life are nothing short of amazing. I run windows 7 virtualized on that mac using vmware and the speed if faster than my wifes fairly new laptop running win 7 on a standard drive. Next I have run it on a Dell desktop, and finally on my latest gaming PC and it is just unbelievable the speed. I boot from power off to fully useable desktop in Win7 in 12 seconds, and that includes a login. Resume from sleep is almost instantaneous. The load times for my game titles such as BF4 and DCS are 2 to 3 times faster. Loading of most productivity software: MS Excel: 2 seconds, Adobe Photoshop CC: 5 Seconds. These make almost no heat, and consume very little power. This is the single best upgrade you can make to a system to feel the improvement is speed and useability. Be sure to get the Samsung Magician software after you install the SSD. It will optimize your OS and correct any settings you may have that could limit or even reduce the lifespan of the drive. Do not assume your OS will recognize the drive as an SSD, it doesnt always do so on its own. Also, Samsung give you free cloning software to make the upgrade smooth.

> 3 dayIve had this SSD in my rig for about a year now, and I havent once regretted my purchase. Not only does this baby perform admirably, especially after a little tweaking in the included Samsung Magician software, but it also looks fantastic. The matte black color complements the aesthetics of my case, so I have no problem placing it front and center on the PSU shroud rather than hiding it in the back.
