SAMSUNG 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-75E500B/AM)

Our Dell T7400 units have been operating perfectly since the day we purchased them but they seemed to be slowing over time as programs such as QuickBooks, Outlook, Excel, and Act get bigger and more complex. There seemed to be two options - replace the machines - or see of we can get better performance by enhancing the internals. We chose enhancement first and are delighted at the results. The Samsung 850 EVO 500s have dramatically improved the performance of these machines and they now actually seem much faster than when new. Downloads from the internet, videos, music, QuickBooks, etc all work amazingly fast. Booting up went from what seemed endless to a blink of an eye. For those of you who know the T7400, you know theses are Abrams tanks of the tower world. We have continued to retain the 279GB drives that these units came with as well as the new one and everything is working perfectly. We are so pleased with this experience we are upgrading three others at a fraction of the cost it would have taken to replace these $4,000 tower machines.

Ordered this to upgrade my new refurbished laptop. I wanted to give it that extra kick of speed and not have to worry quite so much about bumping my laptop wrong and killing the hard drive. Installing Windows 10 on this was a dream. Super simple and super FAST! I havent even owned it for a month yet, but the increase in speed is obvious. I would definitely buy again.

This made a WORLD of difference for my mid 2010 macbook pro. I bought a SATA to USB converter and cloned my hard drive using carbon copy cloner. The whole process took about 5 hours to clone and then about 30 minutes to install the hard drive. You could probably do the installation in much less time, but I was very careful about everything. Youll need to buy a toolkit to be able to open up your mac and remove the hard drive. I got mine on Amazon for about $10. The reason I got this thing is because my macbook was SO slow. It was taking over 5 minutes to start up and over 3 minutes to open applications. I couldnt bare it anymore. I was about to buy a macbook air when a friend recommended trying an SSD. Im not kidding when I say that I feel like I have a brand new computer. The gains in speed are incredible. No need for a macbook air. That saved me about $1300. I highly recommend installing one of these if youre having speed issues with your macbook.

My computer boots windows 10 in the same time it takes my flat screen tv to warm up, using an outdated i5. Outstanding!

I bought this SSD to upgrade an 8 year old Sony Vaio. So far, so good. I initially used the included Samsung software to clone my existing drive. Everything seemed to have run well, but at 100% I got a message that cloning had failed. Thankfully, I had also purchased software Corsair 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive and Hard Disk Drive Cloning Kit CSSD-UPGRADEKIT. When using the included Corsair cloning software, the cloning process was easy.

The speed difference was just incredible. I was thinking about replacing my desktop because it was getting to be so slow. After installing this drive, Im sure I can get another couple of years out of this machine. Its running as good or better than when it was new!

Cloned easily with Samsung software included, Note it does not come with a USB cable as shown in the instructions. My laptop has 2 bays. i took drive 2 out and installed the Samsung, ran the clone software, it found the new drive fine and populated it. Shutdown, moved the Samsung to slot 1 and put the old slot 2 drive back in slot 2. closed er up. and Im working on it now. much faster than the old Seagate ATA drive. both drives were 500GB. pleased !!! Note the seagate was getting slow and failed a self test, it was getting ready to fail. SO this migration was a necessity.

this thing ROCKS for speed. Bought it to replace a dead drive in my laptop. Boots almost instantly now. 500 gigs is 500 gigs. What else do you need to know. Fast as lightning like any SSD drive. Sata III drive.

I love these Samsung solid states. Fast and no issues. This is my 2nd one I keep converting my old computers (MacBooks) to run like new.
