As said in the title, the pictures on the product page, doesnt do this chain justice. Its some seriously heavy duty chain. The bottom chain in the attached picture is 3/8 grade 43 binding chain, and its dwarfed by the Schlage security chain. The welds and links on the chain I received were perfect. Some of the reviews said they looked inferior, but not so on this chain. The description says that the chain is 5, but the one I received is a good 6 longer than that. I would highly recommend this chain to anyone.

Used this chain to secure my spare tire/rim in the bed of my truck. The sheath is really thick therefore, it wont rub through or cause damage to my rim. The chain is 1/2 thick and gives me peace of mind when my truck is parked. The chain is really heavy duty and I recommend it for anything that you are trying to secure. Especially if your into overkill security. 10/10

This chain is very beefy and is too heavy to carry on your person. It is best stored wrapped around the bike frame. Only a very determined and well equipped bike thief that happens to be carrying a blow torch might be able to cut this chain. The chain cover that it comes with is a little short in length and exposes some of the chain links. A used bike inner tube fits perfectly to cover the exposed links and prevents damage to the frame.

The noose on the end is unique. This makes the chain effectively a foot longer. However I am disappointed that the links are not the proper profile to fit the end link through the middle of two other links. I would have liked to use a puck lock since I carry this on my electric bike.

Dont cheap out, this chain is worth the investment. I use this is my bike chain with a good boron shackle lock; heavy as hell, but I just wear it like a sash. I wish it had a velcro strap at both ends of the sleeve instead of just the cinch end, but I understand the design decision.

The 39-inch version is 7lbs, not 5lbs as claimed. I am not a welder but the welds look okay to me.

This is a very high quality product. The links are totally impervious to a hacksaw and file, and 15 seconds of angle grinding only made the most minor of abrasions. I bought this for chaining a small safe to my steel bed frame to make it harder to walk off. Sawing apart the steel bed frame will definitely now be the easiest way to walk away with my safe. The cinch ring is a great feature. The chain is honestly way overkill for my task but I couldnt find a smaller chain with the cinch ring, which I wanted. Cyclists: Get a smaller chain... this is way too hefty for your purposes. Would be good for motorcycles in very high-risk areas.

Works amazing for locking up my Honda ruckus moped. Paired it with a kryptonite u lock and couldn’t be happier. The only downfall is the size and weight. I probably wouldn’t use it with a bicycle unless I had some serious storage capabilities. Fits great in my under seat bag on the moped.

What really convinced me to get this chain was the YouTube of a guy unsuccessfully try to cut it with giant bolt cutters. Whether it was a set or not I dont know. I live way out in the boondocks and travel often and was trying to find the thickest affordable chain possible. I may get the longer version next to help secure a trailer. Nothing is entirely thief proof but it looks like this chain will certainly slow one down.
