I am so pleased with this new system. I was struggling greatly with one prior, for three full years almost. Every time the internet went down, it did too. They bailed and left us with the equipment, and SimpleSafe is the silver lining in that horrible dark cloud. Set up was a breeze, and I do not need monitoring, but if I did want it, it is nice to know I can for $25 a month approx. The extra siren I bought is waaaaaay LOUD, and I Simply love it hands down! She talks like Siri does, and I push one button, and then I am gone. I arm it at night now because it is so easy. SO SIMPLE. I dont fumble with an app anymore, and this is the best thing since milk and cookies. I am soooooooooooo DELIGHTED!!!!!!! I wish I had had you all along. I very much appreciate a very nice system without monitoring required, but I can have it if I want to, at less than ADT which is $30 or $40 monthly, basically. I love SimpliSafe!

Do not buy if you want push notifications on your phone without paying a subscription. The fact that you have to pay to unlock notifications is crooked. I ordered a Konnected kit to use my existing wired sensors with Smart things and Alexa; and the notifications are free. SimpliSafe wants to charge over $200 for the kit, and an extra $120 a year just for push notifications. I repeat, thats over $300 in one year JUST to get push notifications. Such a scam.

I rent and live in a rental place & for years I have been trying to get home security system for my rental place, but most places cater to home owners only. I been relying on CCTV camera systems alone for over 10 years now, until I read about SimpliSafe. So I got this SimpliSafe unit here and it took quite awhile to set up due mostly to poor internet connections I have where I now live, but managed to get it set up in about 1 hour. I ordered several extra sensors and key fob unit that this set did not come with, but overall....I think its worth the money. You got to load their app on your smartphone first off and take it from there. You get a choice of several monthly packages to protect your apartment or home and most get their first month for free with security protection. No doubt, well worth it and the sensors and keypads are easy to use and install. Not sure how long the battery life is for those sensors and such, but Id give it 5 stars because for renters in the USA, there really is not many options for home security out there still.

The system works OK, but I found the advertising seriously misleading. They say you can self-monitor without a contract. But you really cant, because they dont provide the ability to arm and disarm the system from your phone unless you spring for their premium monthly monitoring agreement, around $26 a month. Without the ability to turn the system on or off remotely, you cant stop the alarm from going off, or let a friend enter, etc. Its like, $230 for the equipment. But if you want the on/off switch, thatll be $26 a month. I returned the equipment and went with a competitor that doesnt play this game.

Love this security system it’s everything they advertised and then some, especially love cameras that you can buy a kit to use them outdoors. Awesome product.

Was considering an ADT Solution however we love the fact that SimpliSafe doesnt require a contract. Im going to add additional devices to our home.

Our vehicle was stolen and the camera NEVER RECORDED IT. This company does not stand by its product or the recommended installer. BEWARE!
