Their support does not speak English, and cannot help with any issues that arise. The support emails from them come from one single Dave at simplisafe. After multiple emails, and no one understanding me, I decided to return everything. The physical product has cheap stickers on it, so about half of them fell off after installing them. The camera connects via a USB cord, but does not have a battery, so... if the power is out, so are your cameras...? unbelievable. If youre ok with that and decide to keep the cameras, you cannot record anything unless you sign up for their monthly service. So no, this is not an independent system that will work offline. As others have said: deceptive advertising. All in all a very cheap system with no support. It seems all of their money went into their marketing, packaging, commercials, paid-for-reviews? nothing is put into support, quality products, or innovation.

So far no complaints only praises for this product. We had ADT once before and with all the sales gimmicks and hidden costs, we didn’t want to go down that road again. This system is very simple to install and use. Love the integrated app. I would definitely recommend this product.

Worked fine then it stopped. Tech support is impossible. Move on to another product and save yourself the trouble.

You pay for what you get cameras are trash. Connectivity is trash. Spend the extra money for nest.

Ive used this system for almost a year and it works well. One of my sensors quit working and I called for help. Was on the phone for 25 minutes, tech kept putting me on hold to check his resource on answering my questions. Said no help because I didnt subscribe to the monitoring service he couldnt access my system and help me. While on hold again I removed the sensor from the doorframe, popped out the old battery, inserted and new one and everything works as it should. When he came back on the line I told him I had fixed it myself and no thanks to him. I am an 80 year old woman and better at this that he was.

Great price, easy to install door sensors keypad, base station and panic button. Works superbly. I got the basic monitoring at a very good price. Totally satisfied with system performance.

I purchased this product and returned it as the motion sensor did not function as advertised. It was highly faulty, and did not seem to detect any movement at all. That on its own would only give this a 2 or 3 star, as the other components seemed fine. The return process and cancellation seemed easy at first. I called in July 2022 and was quickly processed, returned the equipment, and received my refund. A few months later I found out they had still been charging my credit card a monthly fee, despite the July 2022 cancellation, and the fact that all equipment had been returned. When I called to get a refund, I spent hours on the phone with them, and was told to email them multiple times, and they would not take any action. In the end, I had to contact my credit card company. Simplisafe has deceptive practices, and clearly makes it as difficult as possible to cancel their service in an effort to keep people paying the monthly fee, even when they have cancelled service.
