If you dont contract the optional monitoring service the system is useless. If youre away you can see the camera but no smart notifications are sent to your phone if a sensor is activated. So basically youre forced to contract the service if you want all the features... The bottom line is that its not really simpli...

This security system is probably one of the best out there an ITS IDIOT PROOF VERY SIMPLE SETUP AN NO ISSUE WHILE SETTING AN ITS PERFECT FOR ANY HOME the only draw back no outside cameras to add to the security but still great

I just purchased my second Simplisafe home security system. After installing this system I tested all of the devices and I found that I could walk up to my motion sensors and even wave my hand in front of them, and it would not set off the alarm. Other times, it would sense me about 4 feet away, or sometimes 10 feet away. I called Simplisafe Tech Support and spent 2 hours on the phone testing the system only to have them tell me that there was nothing wrong. I told them if I can walk up to this sensor and wave my hand in front of it and it not see me, I think some thing is wrong. They sent me a new sensor and after I installed the new sensor I could still walk right by and not set off the alarm. I have to say I don’t feel safe with my Simplisafe system and if you already have one of their systems, I would test your motion sensors to see if they are working correctly.

I feel so much more safe and secure with SimpliSafe. It is a great product and customer service is extremely kind and helpful! We love SimpliSafe.

We have not had to use tech support as of yet but love the system itself. Was very easy set up and works great. Wish we had done this sooner. We have a current wired system in the house that was always going on the fritz. This beats it hands down.

This system does everything we want it to for an incredible price. It’s portable, wireless, & expandable. The components are visible but not obtrusive. We are using the monitoring service; there’s no contract & the price is competitive. Highly recommend!

PARTS DUMPED INTO A PLAIN BROWN BOX, NO INSTRUCTIONS , ONE ENTRY SENSOR DID NOT WORK, SENT EMAIL TO SUPPORT AND NEVER GOT AN ANSWER ALSO WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE OUTDOOR SIGN GOT THE MOUNTING POST BUT NO SIGN. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER

The major complaint that I have is that they advertise no hidden costs but then when you attempt to set up monitoring with notifications, you have to pay at least $9.99/month. Deceptive.
