This would have been a great product, easy to install but motion sensor would fit in corner kept falling off wall. Key pad would not stay on wall. These two components need wall plates and some type of screw. The door sensor would fit my door because of the my door was made.

All works really well just wish we could cut out the middle man. Requires monthly payments to work where we were kinda just looking for something that connected to our phones. The fee is only like $25 a month which isnt terrible just not really what i was looking for. Lots of great accessories, we also got the water detector since our sewer backs up sometimes. Next purchase is the doorbell and possibly the key chains to arm and disarm the house. All said and done Im happy we have it. Gives me piece of mind and I feel safer with it.

I love this security system. My son had this up and running in about 15 minutes. I highly recommend this to anyone. You can use this system with or without monitoring. It even has a chime for when you go in and out of the doorways. The only reason I didnt rate Tech support was because my son took care of everything for me.

So far no complaints only praises for this product. We had ADT once before and with all the sales gimmicks and hidden costs, we didn’t want to go down that road again. This system is very simple to install and use. Love the integrated app. I would definitely recommend this product.

Dont believe the negative reviews.

Great for someone who doesn’t care about false alarms. We have so many issues with our small dog (20lbs) setting off the alarm. We have tried all the recommendations including turning the sensor upside down, raising it higher on the wall, etc. Sometimes the motion alarm will go off without anyone or anything home. Wouldn’t recommend to my friends or family so wouldn’t recommend to you.

This system (and the outdated versions still sold elsewhere on Amazon) is awful in numerous ways: 1. The company does not provide the monitoring: they give your personal data (and real-time access to monitoring in your home) to third parties that are unnamed. When these small third party companies with limited funds to spend on data security get hacked, SimpliSafe can just avoid responsibility by saying its not their fault. I dont want a security company whose business model is to deny responsibility for the security of extremely personal information. 2. The app for the system costs $120/year, and it doesnt work. They deceptively say in the product information that the service cost is only $14.95/month, but they omit the fact that they want to charge $10/mo in addition for the app. A nearly 70% additional charge just for the app!! And if you check the app reviews, its abysmal. The app is completely unreliable in arming and disarming the system or connecting remotely to check on status. I dont pay anything for the app that lets me check on my Nest thermostat or Nest smoke/CO detectors. And yet after taking your $15/mo. they want even more for an app that doesnt work. 3. The company claims on their website that they have 40,000 5-star reviews on Amazon. This is highly dishonest. None of their kits on Amazon is highly rated. Their kit with the most reviews (just in the range of 5,000) has a 3-star average and thousands of critical reviews. 4. They state in their advertising that adding the camera is important because the police will respond more quickly if the presence of an intruder is confirmed by video. However, they do not provide any guarantees about the use of the live and recorded video from inside your home. There is nothing guaranteed about who can access that video and how long they keep it. They limit your access to 30 days, but they do give no guarantee about keeping that 24/7 recording of the inside of your house private. 5. The primary communication to their service is via cell phone. They dont state which service provider they use, and Ive never lived anywhere that has a good signal from all carriers. I get spotty voice quality from AT+T where I live, so not having an option to connect this to a land line is a serious limitation. 6. The sensors for windows, motion, etc. are just off-the-shelf parts. There is no innovation here in the accuracy or reliability or other functionality of the sensors themselves. The concerns above about the service are the heart of the issue. You can buy these sensors and a base station from any number of companies, so it comes down to the cost, reliability, and privacy of the service. These guys arent even providing the service: they are just outsourcing it to someone else unnamed, so who knows what your actually buying here.

Great alarm good price easy install

Much simpler than I originaaly thought. Im not an electrician or a techy so when I saw all these peices I got overwhelmed. Took me a few weeks to get the courage to attempt set up. That it turns out was an unwarranted fear. I have not set up the monitoring but did test the alarm and it was loud enough to catch my neighbors attention in the bldg I liver in. Fact is from moment i began set up to end took less than 30 minutes and I suspect could have taken even less. I do intend to check out the online monitoring eventually.

Most defensively worth all the money so easy to set up!
